Halloween is creeping across Arizona, bringing haunts, mazes, and ghostly adventures that promise plenty of thrills. Haunted houses and eerie city tours mix suspense, unexpected surprises, and chilling moments you won’t forget. Let’s dive into some of the most exciting and creepy spots this season!

Fear Farm

Step into a place where darkness has a pulse and every shadow could be watching you. Fear Farm, located in Tempe, recommended for ages 13+, delivers chills that stick long after you leave. This year’s attractions include Decent into Darkness, plunging you into pitch-black corridors, and Carnage 3D, a warped funhouse that twists reality at every turn. Leave costumes and props behind and bring only a clear bag and sturdy shoes—this haunt doesn’t mess around. Tickets range $25-$37, and buying early is your best bet to secure entry.

The 13th Floor

Enter a world where the undead rule the streets at the 13th Floor Haunted House in Phoenix. Shadows of the Undead plunges you into a decaying city teeming with restless spirits, while The Cellar twists through ancient catacombs filled with dark secrets and sudden scares. Open select nights through November 2 and recommended for ages 13+, this haunt delivers suspense, gore, and thrills that’ll have your heart racing from start to finish.

Scarizona Scaregrounds

Scarizona Scaregrounds, located in Mesa, has been scaring the East Valley for over two decades, and this year is no different. Featuring elaborate Halloween mazes and immersive scares, it’s earned accolades like the Southwest’s “Highest Rated Cast.” Open now through November 1, the event is not recommended for children under 12. Grab closed-toe shoes, dress for the outdoors, and get ready for a mix of terrifying fun and theatrical performances in Mesa’s sprawling haunted grounds.

Sanctum of Horror

Sanctum of Horror, also in Mesa,  delivers a truly twisted experience, with gates opening at 7 PM on select nights through November 1. Recommended for ages 13+, it features two attractions: Lenore’s dark childhood memories and The Breach, a military research nightmare gone wrong. Families or anyone avoiding jump scares can check out the Lights On daytime walkthrough, which is scareless and actor-free. Tickets range $24.99-$34.99, with group discounts for those bringing a brave crew.

Phoenix Ghosts

Rounding out your haunted adventure, Phoenix Ghosts offers guided tours through the city’s most haunted locations year-round. From haunted hotels to eerie corn mazes, the tours mix ghost stories with Phoenix’s history, giving a different kind of thrill from the traditional haunted house. Tours run nightly, with prices starting at $26 for adults and $17 for kids under 13, letting you explore the paranormal at your own pace.
